THE DISTRIBUTION OF RAINFALL OF HUPEH PROVINCE

  • Baced on the map of annual rainfall distribution Hupeh province is subdivided into three distinctive rainfall regimes and they are (a) the western mountains;(b) the central plain; and (c) the southeastern lake districts. These three regions differe moth in the annual amount and the distribution of rainfall. The wide variability of rainfall in the mountainous regions and the rain that is causes by high pressure systems are also discussed. In the writer's opinion the raia that is due to high pressure plays a very important role in Hupeh province.
