Abstract
In this paper the recent surface observations (1951-1955) and radio-sonde data (1953-1955) of China were used to calculate the mean monthly interdiurnal pressure and temperature variability at surface, and the mean interdiurnal variability of altitude and temperature at certain standar d pressure levels (700,500 and 300 mb). From these results the seasonal characteristics of weather anal climate over China are discussed. Finally, the influence of Tibetan plateau on the variability is discussed.
