A NEW METHOD OF COMPUTING VERTICAL MOTION UNDER THE ASSUMPTION OF ISALLOBARIC WIND

A new method of computing vertical motion based on the assumption of isallobaric wind is proposed. Some qualitative rules for estimating the distribution of vertical velocity are given. These rules may be employed in routine forecasting.
