ON THE EFFECTS OF STRATIFICATION AND PREVAILING WIND ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL SCALE DISTURBANCES

  • This paper deals with the non-linear interaction betweell the disturbances and the cnviroment in the small scale svstems and the effects of the stratification and the orevailing wind on the development of disturbances. It is shown that the disturbances always well devclope in an unstable or a neutual stratified atmosphere and mav also develope in a stable atmosphere under certain conditions,on the other hand, the prevailing wind generally prevents the development of disturbances, but with the exception of certain type of wind profile which has active effects on the growth of disturbances.
