  • Taking account of the characteristic feature of the wind field and the variation of the coriolis parameter with latitude in the temperate and low latitude,the dynamic insta bility of the easterly disturbances is investigated by means of a two-layer model.The result shows that the unstable wave is biased to shorter wave length and the most unstable wave length can be as short as 2400 km.
