THE MODELING EXPERIMENT ABOUT THE ZONAL-ASYMMETRICAL HEATING EFFECTS ON THE GENERAL CIRCULATION OF ATMOSPHERE
-
Abstract
The heating effects on the general circulation are modelled in a steady rotating dishpan. Characteristics of the flow patterns in the experiments have investigated and found out that the flow waves n=1, 2 are distinctly controled by the heat sources. It is evident that the heating effects on the foxmation of the mean troughs and ridges are modelled in the laboratory experiments. It is also found that the heat sources may result in transformation of the wave patterns.
