A NOTE ON THE RESPONSE OF THE LOW OR MIDDLE LATITUDE FLOW FIELD TO THE MIDDLE OR LOW LATITUDE DISTURBANCE

By using the Fourier method to solve the barotropic and nondivergent vorticity equation,the effect produced by the middle or low latitude disturbance to the flow field at the low or middle latitude is investigated.The result indicates that this kind of effect cannot be disregarded and the middle latitude disturbance produces larger effect at the low latitude than that a same low latitude.disturbance can produce at the middle latitude.
