ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN RAINFALL ANOMALY IN MIDDLE AND LOWER YANGTZE VALLEY DURING THE MEI-YU SEASON AND THE ANOMALY OF SEA-SURFACE TEMPERATURE IN SOUTH CHINA SEA

  • Analysis shows that, during 1951-1972, warmer June-July South China Sea surface accords with rainy Mei-Yu season and the West Pacific High extension. It is also found the preceding South China Sea temperature is positively correlated to June-July yangtze rainfall.
