ENERGY DISPERSION AND THE CHOICE OF MODEL ATMOSPHERE TOP

Abstract
A numerical experiment on energy dispersion (in the sense of diffusion) of the internal gravity-inertia wave is made by using three numerical models which are different in the height of the model atmosphere top. The results show that only the numerical model whose top is the upper boundary of atmosphere (i.e. p=0 hPa) can give a better description of the energy dispersion of the internal gravity-inertia wave.
