AN ANALYSIS FOR THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STRATOSPHERIC CIRCULATION OVER NOTHERN HEMISPHERE AND ASIA SUMMER MONSOON

In this paper, the stratospheric circulation and its seasonal variations of the strong summer monsoon years and weak ones in 1970s are analysed contrastedly. It is found out that the strength of Asia Summer monsoon is related closely with stratospheric circulation, and there is interesting teleconnection between 50hPa as well as 500hPa height fields and North China precipitation.
