A BAROCLINIC SEMI-GEOSTROPHIC MODEL USING THE WAVE-CISK THEORY AND LOW-FREQUENCY OSCILLATION

  • A baroclinic semi-geostrophic model describing the atmospheric motion in low latitudes and using the wave-C1SK theory is established and the analytic solution is obtained. It is shown that the effect of the non-dimensional latent heat parameter η which is assumed to depend only on height and used to state the wave-CISK mechanism is verv important to the low-freauency oscillation.
