THE DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF GRAVITY WAVES DURING SEVERE HAILSTORM PROCESS

Atmospheric gravity waves with different characteristls occur frequently in different stages during a severe hailstorm process. Using the dynamic analysis method of the period-amplitude-time spectrum, some definite relations between the development of hailstorms and characteristics of atmospheric gravity waves are found. Results provided some leads for further studies of hailstorm dynamics and supplied available method and indicators to judge the hailfall occurring and its damage level in the operations of hail suppression.
