THE NUMERICAL EXPERIMENTS OF ACIDIFICATION OF RAIN AND WASHOUT OF GASES INVOLVING BOTH REVERSIBLE AND IRREVERSIBLE ABSORPTIONS

  • The effects of both reversible and irreversible absorptions on the acidification of rain and washout of gases are studied with a one-dimensional model. The results show that the reversible washout is related to chemical reactions,while the irreversible washout is associated only with physical processes. In addtion,the temporal changes of rain pH and oxidation rates of S (Ⅳ) are also studied in the experiments.
