Abstract
Considering the effects of both enhancing entrainment and intensifying the exchanges of momentum and heat between plume and ambient air. the trajectory equation of buoyant plume under neutral conditions is derived, and without any hypotheses on the rise termination the final rise prediction formula is obtained theoretically. Compared to the field experiments, the final rise formula simulaes the observed final rise heights well.
