LONGWAVE COOLING RATE MODEL FOR POLLUTED ATMOSPHERIC BOUNDARY LAYER

  • Taking account of the scattering and absorption of atmospheric aerosoland water vapor continuum, along wave cooling rate model for polluted atmospheric boundary layer was established in this paper. The calculated results show that the aerosol with a content of 785.9mg/m2 leads to an increase of 39W/min the surface dow nward infrared radiative flux. The effects of the atmospheric aerosol and continuum absorption on long-wave cooling can be of equal importance. When the water contents and aerosol concentration are high in the at mospheric boundary layer, the maximum cooling rate due to water vapour continuum and aerosol can amountto 1.3K/d and 1.66K/d,respectively, and the contributions of aeroso land continuum absorption to longwave cooling rate can not be ignored.
