REVIEW OF EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON TRAN-SIENT PHASE TRANSFORMATION OF WATER VAPOR IN SHOCK TUBE

  • From the view of experimental studies of transient phase transformation of water vapor in shock tube,the prospect of using theories and techniques of shock tube for experimental studying physics of cloud and fog in the area of weather modification is presented.In the first,the general situations of research about transient phase transformation used by both ordinary and special shock tubes,including some experimental condition controls,are introduced.Then,some principles and methods about the measurement in phase transformation process are described.In the last,some methods and contents on studying microphy sical process during rain stimulation and hail mitigation by artificial means,such as effects of blast waves on cloud and fog,with applications of shock tube techniques,are discussed.
