SYMETRIC AND ANTISYMETRIC SLOW DISTURBANCES IN SIMPLE AIR-SEA COUPLED MODEL IN THE TROPICS

  • Slow tropical disturbances in a simple air-sea coupled model are investigated in the local thermal equilibrium case.The results show that the coupled parameter KHKS and the scale parameter restrict the feature of the tropical air-sea coupled system and the coupled disturbances and the characteristics of the coupled disturbances also sensitively depend on the value of n at which the Weber functions Dn(y) are truncated.
