GUST EXTREMES IN CHINA AND ITS STATISTICAL STUDY

This paper was about the statistical study of gust extremes and gust factor, including the gust from ground to 300 m high in China. Firstly, it discussed several definitions of gust. Secondly, it described the relationships of gust factor with constant wind speed, gust factor with measuring mean time of wind speed, and gust factor with height, respectively. Finally, the paper gave the method and result of estimating gust extremes. This paper unified study results of gust factor with varied resources and varied forms. Furthermore, it explained the differences among them. The result of this study has used in the form ulation of the Military Standards.
