Numerical calculations for the vector discreteordinate radiative transfer in a planeparallel atmosphere

Abstract
Based on the DISORT theory, a numerical scheme is developed to calculated the vector radiative transfer (VDISORT) in a planeparallel atmosphere at arbitrary angles and optical depths by the analytical interpolation method. The scheme is tested for Rayleigh scattering and Mie scattering. In both test cases, the yield results fit the benchmark values within 0.7% from Coulson et al and Garcia et al. At last, the stability of the scheme is tested at the different optical depth for the different particle size distribution atmosphere.
