锋面假相当位温图和它对中国寒潮冷锋上界变化分析的应用
FRONTAL θse CHART AND ITS APPLICATION TO THE ANALYSIS OF UPPER BOUNDARY OF COLD-WAVE FRONT IN CHINA

摘要: 本文提出了锋面假相当位温(θse)图作为分析锋面的一种工具.根据个案例子的锋面上界θse图分析,发现锋上θse还不是均一的,并且它的极值随时间有着相当可观的变化.本文讨论了这结果,指出这表明锋面不是一个简单地总是由同一物质总组成的物质面,而是在锋前锋后连续不断的经历着锋生锋消过程,有着它自己的新陈代谢的一种构造.最后讨论了这些事实在锋面分析和数值预报上的意义.Abstract: A newly designed chart-fronal θse chart is presented as a tool for frontal analysis. This tool is applied to the analysis of the upper boundary of cold-wave fronts in China for two cases. It is found that the θse over the upper frontal boundary is far from uniform and the θse value of maximum changes rather considerably with time. By means of this the authors try to demonstrate that the frontal surface is not a simple material surface always consisting of same set of air particles, but rather a structure with its own mechanism of metabolism, subjecting continuously frontogenetic process. The significance of this findings for frontal analysis and numerical forecasting is also discussed.
