Abstract: In this paper the total annual and seasonal distribution of solar insolation for the period Dec. 1957-Nov, 1958 in China is presented and comparison is made with those of America and other places in the world. Comparing the observed insolation with the calculated values by different emporical formula, it is suggested that different emperical formula should be used for different climate regions.
