热带辐合带上台风发展的数值模拟

NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF TYPHOON DEVELOPMENT ALONG THE TROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE

  • 摘要: 我们应用包含对流和大尺度凝结加热、洋面感热和潜热输送及边界层摩擦作用的五层原始方程模式,模拟了西太平洋热带辐合带上7504号台风ORA的发展。用σ坐标的平衡方程计算初始风场。试验结果得到热带气旋风场和温度场的非对称结构。适当改变初始场所做的几个试验表明:(1)辐合带两侧东西风的水平切变不一定是台风形成的唯一条件;(2)地面原先存在的扰动在台风发展过程中起着重要的作用;(3)台风发展中要考虑大尺度环境场的水汽通道。

     

    Abstract: The development of typhoon No.7504 (ORA) along the tropical convergence zone is simulated with a five-level primitive equation model including large scale and convective condensation, surface friction, sensible and latent heat exchanges between the sea and the air. Initial wind is estimated by means of the balance equation in σ-coordinate.The asymmetrical distribution of wind and temperature is obtained. Results of experiments from different initial states show that, (1) The strong horizontal shear between east and west wind on two sides of convergence zone is uncertainly an unique condition for formation of typhoon, (2) Surface disturbance plays an important rule in process of typhoon development and, (3) The channel of moisture from large-scale environment is an important factor for initiation and development of typhoon.
