Abstract: In this paper, from polarized light and transmitted light photographs of fifty-one hailstone sections made from samples taken in five hailstorms. in Zhaosu,Xinjiang, three kinds of microscopic structure have been found, showing crystals, air bubbles, layers and embryo characteristics. Raindrop and hail spectra have also been sampled.
