Abstract: It is an extension of the author's paper 1 to the spherical earth. It is found that the similar results are obtained under the assumption of isotropic distribution of zonal and meridional kinetic energy. It points out the limitation of the results already obtained, and opens the way of approach of anisotropic.semi-eddy motion of the atmosphere.
