Abstract: The operational run of the medium-range Numerical Weather Prediction system requires not only to solve meteorological issues but also to deal with many engineering and technical problems associated with it. This paper intends to describe the achievements in the research efforts and engineering construction of the system as well as its operationl performance and verification outcomes in the process of its construction and installation at the National Meteorological Center.
