Abstract: There w ere 102 meso-α-scale convective systems (MCS) genesis over China and the neighboring sea during June-August 1995. Those MCSs concent rated in three major areas:the west of southern China, the Sichuan Basin, and the middle-to-lower reaches basin of the Yangtze River and the Yellow River. Six cases of MCS in different regions are given to show the variety of the MCS genesis and development by the distributions of their cold-cloud-shield black body tem perature.
