RETRIEVAL OF RAIN OVER LAND BY USING TRMM/TMI MEASUREMENTS

  • 摘要: 利用热带降雨测量卫星的微波成像仪资料,结合淮河流域试验加密观测期的阜阳地面天气雷达雨量资料,建立了以散射指数和极化订正温度为主要参数的降水反演算法。对文中所做反演试验与日本NASDA用微波成像仪和星载测雨雷达反演的雨强进行了比较。结果表明,文中所用的方法在反演陆地下垫面的降雨强度的分布和降雨区域的确定是比较成功的。
    Abstract: Using the matched data between the measurements of Tropical Rainfall Measurement Mission Microwave Imager (TRMM/TMI) and those of ground-based weather radar at Fuyang during the Intensive Observation Periods (IOPs) of GEWEX Asian Monsoon Experiment-Huaihe River Basin Experiment (GAME/HUBEX),the proper identification of rain area is obtained by the dynamic cluster classification method, and a passive microwave rainfall retrieval algorithm that rain rate is a function of the scattering index and the polarization corrected temperature at 85.5 GHz is established. The comparison between our retrieval test and the rainfall retrieval from the TMI and TRMM precipitation radar (PR) at the same time provided by NASDA of Japan shows that the algorithm used in this paper is successful in retrieving the distribution of rain rate and identifying the areas of rainfall over land.
