西北太平洋热带气旋强度变化的统计特征
A STATISTICAL ANALYSIS ON INTENSITY CHANGE OF TROPICAL CYCLONE OVER NORTHWESTERN PACIFIC

摘要: 应用35a的资料,分析西北太平洋热带气旋(TC)强度变化的基本统计特征,包括年代际、年际、月际、日变化和区域分布等。主要结果有:(1)西北太平洋TC平均增强速率为4.97hPa/6h,标准差是4.54hPa/6h。平均减弱速率为5.15hPa/6h,标准差是4.17hPa/6h;(2)20世纪60年代中后期TC强度变幅小,进入20世纪70和80年代后有所增大;(3)11月TC平均增强速度最快,2月最慢,8月是TC强度变幅较小的月份;(4)08时(北京时,下同)TC平均增强速度最快,14时最慢,平均减弱速度无明显日变化特征;(5)TC发展较快的一个主要区域是12.5~20°N,132.5~150°E,TC平均减弱速率的高值区在岛屿和大陆沿岸。在南海中部活动的TC平均强度变幅不大。依据平均值与标准差的数学涵义,给出了TC强度稳定、缓慢变化和迅速变化的标准。在对各级强度变化发生频率的年代际、年际、月际、日变化以及区域分布特征分别进行分析的基础上,重点给出了在大陆和岛屿附近迅速增强样本和在远离陆地的洋面上迅速减弱样本的一些统计特征。Abstract: 35-year data are used to study the statistical characteristics in intensity change of tropical cyclone (TC) over Northwestern Pacific,such as inter-decadal variation,inter-annual variation,inter-monthly variation,daily variation and regional distribution,etc.Main results are as follows:(1) Average T C deepening rate is 4.97 hPa/6h and the standard deviation is 4.54 hPa/6 h.Average T C filling rate is 5.15 hPa/6 h and the standard deviation is 4.17hP a/6h.(2) The range of T C intensity change is smallest in mid-and late-1960s and be-comes larger in 1970s and 1980s.(3) Monthly mean deepening rate is fastest in November and slowest in February.T C intensity change's range of August is the smallest among summer and autumn months.(4) T C deepens fastest at 08:00 Beijing Time and slowest at 14:00 Beijing Time.The average filling rate shows no obvious daily variation.(5) A main region w here T C deepens f ast is 12.5-20°N,132.5-150°E and the high value area of T C filling rate is around islands and continent.According to the mathematical meaning of average value and standard deviation,the stable rate,slow change and rapid change of T C intensity are defined.The inter-decadal variation,interannual variation,inter-monthly variation,daily variation and regional dist ribution of the frequency of all intensity change levels are also analyzed.Furthermore,special at tention is paid to the statistical characteristics of those sam ples which deepen rapidly around continent and islands and those which fill rapidly over sea.
