THE DYNAMIC INSTABILITY OF THE EASTERLY DISTURBANCES IN A TWO-LAYER MODEL

摘要

摘要: 本文用二层模式根据中低纬流场特点和科利奥里参数随纬度改变的性质得出东风扰动的波长较短,约2400公里。

Abstract: Taking account of the characteristic feature of the wind field and the variation of the coriolis parameter with latitude in the temperate and low latitude,the dynamic insta bility of the easterly disturbances is investigated by means of a two-layer model.The result shows that the unstable wave is biased to shorter wave length and the most unstable wave length can be as short as 2400 km.
