热带积云对流加热在全球大气遥响应中的重要作用──数值试验结果

THE IMPORTANCE OF TROPICAL CONVECTION HEATING IN THE GLOBAL ATMOSPHERIC REMOTE RESPONSE─A NUMERICAL SIMULATION STUDY

  • 摘要: 利用IAP两层大气环流模式模拟研究了热带地区积云对流加热在大气对赤道东太平洋海温正异常响应中的作用。通过对积分结果进行分析发现:热带地区积云对流在大气对赤道东太平洋海温正异常的响应过程中起着非常重要的作用。若热带地区的积云对流加热减弱则大气中的遥响应(相关)型也减弱。同时我们还发现,热带地区的积云对流加热加强则响应场的30-60d低频振荡也得到加强。

     

    Abstract: The remote responses in the global atmosphere to the positive SST anomaly in the equatorial eastern Pacific with different tropical convection heating are studied by using IAP GCM-2. The comparative analyses of the simulation results show that the tropical convection heating plays an important role in the remote response of the global atmosphere to the SSTA in the equatorial eastern Pacific. (1)Although there are always remote responses in the global atmosphere for the case with or without tropical convection heating,the patterns of remote response field are different in the each case. The remote teleconnection patterns and wave-train structure in the remote response field are more obvious if the tropical convection heating is stronger. (2) Tropical convection heating is also important in exciting the intraseasonal (30-60d)oscillation in the global atmospher. If there is stronger convection heating in the tropics,the kinetic energy of 30-60d oscillation in the response field is stronger too. And eastward propagation of 30-60d oscillation in the tropical atmosphere is more obvious if tropical convection heating is stronger. (3) The convection heating in the tropics not only causes the anomalous circulation in the tropical atmosphere but also causes the atmospheric circulation itself. Strong convection heating is favourable to exciting the two-dimensional Rossby waves in the atmosphere. (4) The meridional circulation is more important in the interaction between the low and middle latitudes for the case with weaker or without tropical convection heating, but the Rossby wave-train is more important for the case with stronger tropical convection heating.
