我国综合气象观测系统的百年业务发展

The operational development of China''s integrated meteorological observation system

  • 摘要: 气象观测技术是现代气象科学的基石,推动了学科的发展和业务的进步。上世纪二十年代,在我国近代气象科学形成初期,老一辈气象学家就提出了“谋气象学术之进步与测候事业之发展”的中国气象学会宗旨。中国气象观测系统经历了从无到有、从手工到自动化、从地面到空间的跨越式发展,已经形成了较为完善的地面观测、高空探测、卫星遥感等多元化的业务观测体系。在这个过程中,科学技术的进步推动了气象观测的不断发展,使得天气预报的准确性和及时性得到了显著提高。本文从地面气象观测、高空气象探测、海洋气象观测、空间天气观测、天气雷达、气象卫星、地基和空基遥感系统等8个方面概述中国气象观测系统业务的发展历程、现状以及未来的发展趋势。气象观测试验作为气象探测技术发展、探测方法研究、探测装备体系建设的重要创新驱动力在我国观测系统升级换代中发挥了重要的先导和技术支撑作用。为此,本文也概要介绍了我国多源综合观测与大型试验情况。气象观测系统不仅仅是对现有工程技术的应用,更是一个充满未知科学问题、技术挑战和应用领域发展的学科分支。随着观测技术的更新换代,更高精度的传感器和更先进的遥感设备的应用,我国现有的观测设备需要不断更新以保持技术的前沿性和数据的准确性。未来的气象观测系统可能会朝着智能化、立体化和全球化的方向发展,大数据、人工智能、量子科技等前沿技术将在未来气象观测系统发展中扮演重要的角色。

     

    Abstract: Meteorological observation technology constitutes the foundational pillar of contemporary atmospheric science, which has propelled the development of the discipline and the advancement of related services. In the 1920s, during the initial formation period of modern meteorological science in China, the older generation of meteorologists put forward the purpose of the Meteorological Society, which is "to seek the progress of meteorological science and the development of meteorological observation undertakings". The meteorological observation system has achieved leap-forward development from rudimentary inception to automated operations, from surface to space and a relatively complete diversified observation system has been formed, covering surface observation, upper-air sounding, satellite remote sensing, and other aspects. The progress of science and technology has driven the continuous development of meteorological observation, significantly improving the accuracy and timeliness of weather forecasting. This article provides an overview of the development history, current status, and future development trends of the meteorological observation system from eight aspects, including surface observation, upper-air sounding, marine observation, space weather observation, weather radar, meteorological satellites, ground-based and air-based remote sensing systems. As an important innovative driving force for the development of meteorological observation technology, the research of atmospheric sounding methods, and the construction of the observing equipment system, meteorological observation field tests have played an important leading and technical supporting role in the upgrading of the observation system. Therefore this article also briefly introduces the situation of multi-source comprehensive observation and large-scale field tests in China. The meteorological observation system is not only the application of existing engineering technologies but also a branch of the discipline full of unknown scientific problems, technical challenges, and development in application fields. With the upgrading of observation technology and the application of sensors with higher precision and more advanced remote sensing equipment, the existing observation equipment needs to be continuously updated to maintain the forefront of technology and the accuracy of data. The meteorological observation system is developing towards intelligence, three-dimensionality, and globalization and frontier technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, and quantum technology will play important roles in the future development of the meteorological observation system.
